To start over & reset
Allow my anger to slow
That it's time
To forget

Forgive

Let live
But there's
Three sides to every story

They only know one
Brutal details so gory
No where in the versions you've spun
Those 6 months in hell.
And the following 12
Your rejoice, as I fell
So deep did I delve
Soul rocked to the core
Battered and bruised
It took nearly 12 more
So  crushed & confused
But I found my way back
Found a way to stand tall
Took stock & retracked
Never again will I crawl
For in the past several years
I've grown far more wise
All the hate & the tears
Broke down your insidious disguise
Making your true self finally known
So.
I can no longer turn blind
Can't unsee what's been shown
Too much malice entwined
To once again embrace
Any gesture you extend
That slight smirk on your face
I can no longer contend
Yet you continue to feign
A singlular desire
For us to concede
To forget

Forgive
To let go

When all of the while
You spin and conspire
Behind our back
You snicker and smile
Silently schemeing
For when to attack
Clutched in  your hand
Your black book of hate
Your tool to remand
For every transgression to date
Secret confessions
Spoken in trust
Now in your possesion
Which you've freely discussed
With all that might listen
Half truths & full fiction
How we refuse to give in
So skewed your depiction
Of all that is, and all that has been
With such martyred conviction
You weep to all whom will hear
Of our treachery & evil
Our characters smeared
So maliciously deceiptful
Too much has transpired
For us to ever surrender
You're so unremorseful to this day
As so many a repeat offender

And shake frozen in fear
For you, we chose to disown

Saving face, at our expense

The consistent object
Of your displaced blame
Which we now choose to reject

Consistently erupts
